Shane Xu
Founder and Managing Director
Shane Xu is a business consultant and art adviser with more than 15 years of professional experience spanning finance, art, international sales, marketing and business development.
She studied International Accounting in China before completing her master’s degree in the UK. Having lived and worked professionally in both countries, Shane brings a strong understanding of different business cultures, markets and ways of communicating. Her career has involved working with clients, partners and colleagues internationally across the art, culture, education and creative sectors.
Shane has held senior commercial roles within international art businesses, led major global art projects, advised creative companies on international growth, and delivered marketing and communications programmes for education and cultural organizations.
She combines cultural knowledge, commercial discipline and cross-market perspective to turn ideas and ambitions into focused, workable action.
Alongside her work at Madder Consulting, Shane is also a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. She works with a group of leading scientists on the commercialization of a novel technology for upcycling PET plastic, contributing her experience in business development, market strategy and commercialization.
